Buy A Cup For Mike

La Rosa Restaurant Fundraiser
Several months ago Darren, the manager of La Rosa Restaurant, offered to have a fundraiser for Mike on Thursday, April 12th (5:30-8:00 PM). 100 percent of the profits will be donated to Mike to help rebuild his life.

I will be sandblasting 100 pint glasses with our logo from the buyacupformike website for sale for $25. Darren has offered to pour a complimentary margarita in the cups, how cool!

Message from Mike
I got out of the hospital at the beginning of February after four long months, most of it I don't remember. I have been doing intense rehabilitation and will continue to do so for another year or so. I wanted to let all of my family,  friends and supporters know that if it wasn't for all of you I might not have made it.

I am moving back to Sebastopol in a couple of months after I am able to function well enough to live on my own.

I really appreciate ALL of you, I'm very touched by the outpouring of love and support that has been shown to me.

My great friend Steve Gandolfo is doing a fundraiser and get together at La Rosa restaurant in Santa Rosa on April 12th .

I will be there from 5:30-8:00pm if you would like to talk to me. I would like to personally thank everyone that helped me.

Thanks again!

A victim of the horrific Tubbs fire

On October 9th, 2017, our dear friend, Mike Hanson, was one of the victims of the horrific Tubbs fire in Santa Rosa. Like so many, he lost his home but unfortunately he lost so much more. His daughter, Christina, who was in a wheel chair was not able to escape the fast moving fire. Mike escaped by foot with his dog. He was saved by his neighbor who brought Mike to the hospital.

Supporting and raising funds for Mike
In our continued effort to support and raise funds for Mike, we have called upon the greater glass blowing community.  Glass artists from around the United States have contributed hand blown tumblers to our cause.  For a donation of $50 or more you will receive one of these unique hand crafted cups delivered to an address of your choice.  All of the donations will be deposited directly into an account for Mike to use for rebuilding his home, addressing his long term medical issues and what ever other expenses he may face on his long road to recovery.

A message of love
While every dollar donated is necessary and important, the real need for this campaign is to send a message of love and support to Mike as he fights to regain his strength.  Please take a moment to share a thought with Mike.  We will be constantly reading these to him over the coming weeks and months, letting him know there are others pulling for him and hopefully inspiring him to keep his spirit alive.
